Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA; she grew up performing on stage with plays when 6. Formal training began at 12 with SAG-eligibility at 14 from a JC Penney Commercial. Film and TV roles rolled in during the teens, and after college, a love for producing bloomed. She keeps herself on her toes with Groundlings training whilst producing for Judy Justice, and auditioning and working on new roles. Melanie won her first Emmy in 2022 and celebrated a second win in 2024.
